phpBMS enables companies to efficiently organize, create, and manage information pertinent to managing your business. phpBMS provides integrated management of customers and prospects, sales orders and accounts receivables, plus an integrated notes, tasks and events system. All this functionality is combined into an consistent, intuitive user interface running as a web application on standard LAMP setup.
phpBMS offers expanded capability to automate you business processes such as sales document PDF generation, send client mass e-mails, and recurr invoices.
phpBMS is an open source project and is driven thought development and contribution of new features by its community.
About This Guide
The phpBMS Intall, Update, and Administration Guide is designed for users who are new to phpBMS, and Web-based applications. It describes how or to install or update phpBMS on a LAMP server as well as how to setup and administrate the program.
Readers are not required to have any programming or software development knowledge, but should be generally familiar with the use of Linux servers, Apache, PHP, and MySQL. Experience working with SQL syntax may be beneficial for administration purposes

The phpBMS Intall, Update, and Administration Guide provides information for users who want to install or update phpBMS. In addition, this guide provides information for system administrators who manage user access and system configuration.
Overview
phpBMS consists of a core module, and other modules which represents a set of functional aspects. The BMS module provides core functionality for managing clients, sales orders, accounts receivable, and product maintenance.
As an administrator, you have the power to implement access control for these modules, as well as specific functionality within the sections of these modules. You can customize the look and feel of phpBMS across your company.

Importing Records
Key areas like clients, products, and discounts can now be imported from CSV files. Hooks to program multiple import formats and to provide importing to other areas are also in place for developers.
Streamlined Install/Update Process
The install and update processes are easy to run, and provide immediate feedback on server requirements, and success or failure. Additional security checks and feedback make installing phpBMS a breeze
New Front Page Snapshot System
After log in, the front page (or snapshot) now allows for per-user customization to give each user the timely information they need at a single glance. Hooks on snapshot widget creation for developers makes it easy to customize this front page.
Cenrtalized posting
A cenralized posting screen gives administrators and users with apprpriate role prvilges to post both receipt and sales order records in a single function. Posting sessions now track when and with what other records a record posted.
